 Manny: "We're still away heading from home.
Sid: Yeah, but we survived and we still have each other. Think could be worse, right?
Diego: For once, he's actually right. We made it through storms, and paddle waves, and a vicious assortment of seafood. What more could they hit us with?"

Sid: "Granny! You're alive!
Diego: And can we say how thrilled we are to see you."

Granny: Hey, I slept through the coma that killed the unicorns.

Diego: "What's the life expectancy for a female sloth?
Manny: She'll outlive us all. You know that, right? Yeah, the spiteful ones live the longest."

Granny: "Hey lady, have you seen Precious?
Diego: If you mean the imaginary or perhaps deceased pet that you keep searching for: no, I haven't."

Captain Gutt: There is no home. There is only here. Here your ship belongs to me.

Captain Gutt: "Now, surrender your ship or face my fury!
Sid: Your furry what?
Captain Gutt: Not furry, fury!"

Diego: "I don't fight girls.
Shira: I can see why."

Manny: Look, as much as I'm tempted to join a monkey, the Easter bunny, and a giant bag of pudding, I'll pass. No one is gonna stop me from getting back to my family.

Captain Gutt: That family is going to be the death of you.

Granny: You all got some ugly goldfish.

Manny: Hey, I'm not fat, I'm puffy.

Shira: "Go away, I'd rather drown.
Diego: Whatever the lady wants."

Ellie: Baby, I know you like this one but... just don't let anyone change who you are, okay?

Granny: Screw  up!

Shira: "Wimp!
Diego: Whiner!
Shira: Cry baby!
Manny: Land!
Diego: Yeah, land! Wait, what?
Manny: Not her, there: land!"

Sid: Two words: Anger management.

Shira: "Well, that's a flawless plan: You want to pirate a pirate ship from pirates?
Diego: It pains me to say this, but our prisoner got a point."

Sid: Guys, shhh.  The Trees have ears.

Diego: "You know, you have a way of saying thank you that makes it sound like drop dead.
Shira: It's a gift."

Diego: I am not soft, okay? I happen to be a remorseless assassin.

Diego: "Listen, I chose to leave my pack, alright?
Shira: Congratulations, warrior princess."

Diego: "At least I didn't trade one pack for another. I got something more.

Diego: A herd.

Diego: We have each other's back."

Flynn: "We're all gonna drown.
Captain Gutt: You're a sea creature, you idiot."

Captain Flynn: Grab your weapons mates. Not a spoon Flynn!

Diego: "Why are you doing this?
Shira: You don't understand, I don't have a choice.

Granny: I'll push him overboard. You guys say it was an accident.

 Diego: "I don't know what's wrong me. I can't eat, can't sleep. Maybe I'm coming down with something.
Manny: Oh oh, oh. I know what you've got. The "l" word.
Sid: Yeah, Leprecy.
Manny: No, Sid, no. It's four letters, starts with "l", ends with "e".
Sid: Ah ha!Lice.
Manny: No. Diego, my friend, is in love."

Manny: You're in love, pussycat. 

Diego: Real mature guys, real mature.

Diego: "Why are we kissing?
Sid: Cause cruises are romantic?"

 Manny: He wants me and he's gonna get me.

Flynn: You remember us? We're the bad guys.

Captain Gutt: Let's dance, hero.

Louis: Well, someone once old me no matter what, you never leave a friend behind. 

Manny: "She's not my little girl anymore.
Ellie: And you're both gonna be just fine."

Granny: You know Sydney, you got yourself a nice family here. A real family.



 Plot: Still pursuing his beloved acorn, Scrat unwillingly causes a catastrophe when the continents start drifting. Manny is separated from his wife Ellie and his daughter Peaches in the process. Luckily or unluckily for him, he still have Diego, Sid and Sid's granny to help him reunite with his family. He'll especially need them as they come across a pirate ship and a blood thirsty monkey...



Review:

 This is the fourth adventure of the three best friends Manny, Diego and Sid, and so far I had not been disappointed once. Contrary to many sequels, The Ice Age's never ever let me down. I've loved the Ice Age, Ice Age: The Meltdown and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. I was thus really excited when I heard of Ice Age: Continental Drift. And I'm glad to say they've did again!
I've absolutely loved this movie. The animation was great and it was really funny. What I especially love about the Ice Age in general is the fact that it is not just intended for kids. A lot of people in the movie theater were adults, and most of the time when I heard laughter, it was coming from adults. Children do enjoy the animals and their silliness, but I don't think they can get the puns like adults do.
Scrat is a character everyone seem to love though!
The only thing that I've noticed is that Sid was slightly less funny in this sequel, but on the bright side, it was nice to know more about his family and his past. He sure is very similar to his granny!
Now, personally, my favourite character is Diego and I'm really glad to see the way his character has evolved since the first Ice Age.
The new villain-Captain Gutt- was definitely a bad guy/monkey. That one couldn't be redeemed! The character of Shira was a lot more interesting. She was very similar to the way Diego was before he met Sid and Manny. She tried to fit in within a pack that didn't give a damn about her, and it was nice to see her realize that she deserved more. Diego was a great guide for her, and I sure can't wait to see what will happen between those two.
We also get to see a teenage Peaches, who is just like any other teenagers: stubborn, rebellious, fearless and pushing the boundaries. Her character was a great opportunity to explore the theme of peer pressure and of the dangers of trying to hard to fit in, especially when it means giving up on who we really are.
I'm really glad to see Manny with his family though. He lost one before, so I'm glad he got a second chance.
Finally, something I've always liked about Ice Age is how it never fails to smartly deliver some sort of message or life lessons. I think it's great for the kids to see that, and it certainly doesn't hurt adults either.
In sum, Ice Age: Continental Drift is a blast. If you missed Manny, Diego and Sid, I'm sure you'll be glad to see them back for a new crazy adventure!
